Imagine if the most prestigious underground rock and roll gathering took place in the heart of Los Angeles with only the most innovative raw rock grunge bands allowed to grace the beer-soaked floor, think The Von Bondies, early Nirvana, Babes In Toyland and Black Sabbath with a hint of New York Dolls!
Their wildly anticipated debut album has now been unleashed and it’s a beast! Lead singer, Arrow de Wilde, spits her drawn-out vocals over a rain of 70s fuzz guitar in the opening track, ‘Train’. With an addictive beat driving the song forward and off-tone ripping riffs, this album has you hooked in the first 10 seconds.
Considering the bands average age is about 17 and they already sound like seasoned grunge pro’s, this energetic young outfit could be the start of a new era of rock and roll, how it should be played, with attitude, the attitude of ‘We don’t give a fuck...try and stop us’.
Their latest single, ‘I Love LA’ just screams of T-Rex and Johnny Thunders with a slither of L7, it’s catchy and it has character, something pretty much every band lacks in today's music scene.
‘Pussy Tower’ sounds like a mix between ‘Chinese Rocks’ and the Rocky Horror Picture Show, groovy tones, a killer laid back 70’s vibe conjuring an image of Hunter S Thompson cruising down route 66 with a drug-filled briefcase in the passenger seat.
This is one of the most refreshing albums to hit the scene in a long time and we can’t wait for more!
