MARMOZETS - KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW NOW

For years we’ve had to put up with utter shit in the music industry and we’re not just talking about pop music, we’re talking about ALL genres. Saturated with hundreds and hundreds of cookie cutter copied bands thinking they’re the best thing since Led Zeppelin, “Yeah like we just grew our hair long and Sazzle can play 100 notes a second so we’re like the best band ever, we know all the chords”.

Too many bands seem to be under the impression that if they write similar songs to their idols, dress the same way, buy the same equipment, they will just amass a huge following and “make it”.

We’ve needed some new innovative music for a long time, something new, something fresh, something unique and individual that’s full of passion. Marmozets have just delivered exactly this with their second album “Knowing What You Know Now”.

Marmozets are like no other band. Honestly, after their debut album ‘The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets’ we thought, there’s no way they’re going to top this, they’ve shot themselves in the foot by releasing an absolutely incredible debut album and they can only go down from here. Well, they proved us wrong.

‘Knowing What You Know Now’ is just an absolute onslaught of fire-fuelled, powerhouse vocals, crushing guitar riffs combined with some of the most powerful drumming, it just oozes pure rock and fucking roll.

It’s innovative, refreshing and sets the bar high for how music should be written and produced. They don’t simply try to follow others, they lead the way in creating a stylized sound, something nearly all modern bands lack.

Rebecca 'Becca' Macintyre (vocals), Jack Bottomley (guitar), Sam Macintyre (guitar/vocals) Will Bottomley (bass/vocals) and Josh Macintyre (drums) are Marmozets and all delivery an exceptional standard on this record, not only in their writing abilities, but also their talent as musicians.

Title track ‘Play’, ‘Major System Error’ and ‘Suffocation’ are without a doubt our favourite songs from their new LP.
